Job Description:

Our client is a leading manufacturer and provider of complete HVAC solutions.  

 

The SAP Business Support Analyst is responsible for working as an integral member of the SAP Local team to provide support to local manufacturing users.   The Business Support Analyst will also be responsible for the coordination, validation and creation of Key Performance Indicator reports; Manufacturing reports; Ad-Hoc reports for projects or new recurring reports required by users.

 

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Understand how SAP application supports existing business processes;
  • Understand customer needs and quantify appropriate actions;
  • Enable end user success by providing effective and timely SAP support by applying business process expertise and SAP knowledge to solve defined business problems;
  • Maintain a high level of user satisfaction in all aspects of support;
  • Identify enhancements to processes or operations that would improve efficiency;
  • Gather, analyze, and documents business requirements, translate business goals and requirements into appropriate technical solutions;
  • Proactively identify opportunities for improvement;
  • Perform integration and regression testing on development activities, assist in the identification and subsequent re-testing of any issues uncovered;
  • Work with business representatives to develop solutions that meet the business requirements while maintaining SAP Best Practices;
  • Update pricing in SAP and regularly monitor pricing to ensure accuracy and relevancy;
  • Review reports to determine basic characteristics such as origin and report flow, format, frequency, distribution and purpose or function of the report;
  • Recommend procedures to improve report content, use and control;
  • Ensure data quality and usefulness of standard and ad-hoc reports;
  • Provide analytical support for special projects;
  • Review manufacturing & material management processes and recommend ways to optimize and improve through the use of SAP;
  • Create reporting methods specific to the manufacturing process (e.g. profitability analysis; capacity planning and leveling);
  • Conduct meetings, testing sessions and administrative duties as required;
  • All other duties within the scope, spirit and purpose of the role as requested by management.

 

Skills and Experience Requirements

  • Post-Secondary Education at either a University Degree or College Diploma preferred
  • A minimum of five years or more of relevant work experience using and supporting SAP
  • Working cross functional knowledge of: SD/MM/FICO/PP preferred
  • Experience with VC Dependencies, functions, tables, dependency allocations to BOMs, Routings
  • Ability to prioritize issues and readjust as required to changes in the business
  • Must be able to work independently and at the same time be a strong team player
  • Previous experience in writing clear documentation of process/system and training documents
  • Superior analytical, problem solving, and judgment skills
  • Ability to clearly define local requirements and work with Manager to understand group impact
  • Logical and detail oriented with respect to documentation and execution
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written in English
  • Ability to work as part of a virtual team
