Key Responsibilities

  • MPS / MRP Planning  , Materials Managementand Purchasing -  requisition to pay process
  • Manage inventory to maintain appropriate stocking levels to accommodate both short and long lead-time materials to meet forecast, operational demands and customer sales orders
  • Negotiation and create contracts in cooperation with internal business partners, to produce favorable terms and conditions
  • Timely resolution of supplier related service and quality issues
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance of supplier related data in an Oracle ERP system
  • Develop and manage RFx activities in coordination with business partners to drive measurable savings, quality and  Environment, Health & Safetyresults
  • Identify and implement business process standards as well as optimize of existing business systems

Additional Requirements

  • Preference given to candidates with Oracle ERP Requisition to Pay and Planning experience
  • Occasional business travel maybe required to Sotera Health’s head office and supplier sites

Job Requirements:



  • Normally a Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate discipline
  • 10 years of experience in MPS / MRP Planning, Materials Management, Sourcing, Supply Chain Management
  • Must have a general working knowledge of engineering, particularly mechanical & electrical and the ability to read and understand technical drawings to assess requirements and sourcing strategies
  • Must have a good technical knowledge of production and manufacturing processes
  • Experience with direct and indirect sourcing and category management
  • Completed or working towards a Supply Chain Canada SCMP and/or a  APICS CSCP designation

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong planning skills within a MPS / MRP systems utilizing, BOM’s, WIP, routings, and work orders to perform various materials management functions and associated Requisition to Pay process
  • Good working knowledge of and experience in developing sourcing strategies, drafting contracts, and negotiations
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple key activities
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Experience working with engineering, quality, logistics and Environment, Health & Safety groups
  • Computer software proficiency with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook)  
  • Comfortable working in a highly regulated process oriented work environments
  • Drive to continuously learn, challenge the status quo and collaboratively implement change
