PROJECT MANAGER (SMP)

3 : 1 FIFO Roster Immediate Start available - Permanent Role

 

Our Client is currently seeking experienced Project Managers to join our SMP division to oversee a Greenfield operation focused on Mechanical and E&I work for the Mining & Metals sector in Western Australia. Based in the North West of WA, the PM will have an intrinsic role in all pre mobilisation activities and then will be required to move to site (on a FIFO roster) to lead as the project moves through the construction, commissioning  and completion stages.

 

Responsibilities will include but won't be limited to:-

Responsible for planning and controlling the assigned project(s) through to completion. Develop and maintain superior customer relations management on all contracts.

Improve the tendered gross contribution on all contracts by improving the labour, production, material procurement and other job control functions.

Manage the effective implementation of Safety Programs on all sites and ensure that all OH&S

requirements (i.e. Statutory & ‘Client’) are met.

Ensure that document control processes are adhered to and all project documents including drawings, specifications etc are entered and controlled throughout the project on an electronic database system.

Prepare monthly Contract Financial Reports, including labour analysis, material analysis, Variation

Submission Reports and others as required by the Commercial Business Unit Manager.

Assist the Estimating Department in the preparation of tender documentation  and information that will assist ‘Client’ to win and retain its customers.

Ensure project files are established for all projects in accordance with the ‘Client’ Systems procedures.

Effectively manage the review, submission, negotiation and settlement of all invoicing, variations, delays and claims with the customer.



Required Skills

To be considered for this role you should possess the following qualifications and experience:-

 

Tertiary qualified in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering / Construction Management A significant amount of experience working for 'Top Tier' constructors in Australia as PM. Management of Heavy Industry Projects such as the construction of onshore LNG processing facilities, Oil & Gas Refineries and/ or Petrochemical Plants.
